Every week we meet hundreds of flights at Vancouver International, and the same question comes up on almost every booking: “Where exactly will you be?” Fair question — YVR has three distinct arrival points, and each one works differently. Here is the guide we wish every traveller had.

Before you land

When you book with a flight number, your chauffeur tracks the flight from departure. Land forty minutes early out of a tailwind, or circle in December fog — the pickup adjusts automatically. You never need to call from the taxiway. Every airport car service booking includes up to 60 minutes of complimentary wait time after your flight arrives.

International arrivals — Main Terminal

After customs, you’ll exit through the frosted doors into the public greeting area. Your chauffeur is at the railing with a name sign — look for it as you clear the doors, before the crowd thins out. From there, they take the luggage cart and walk you to the vehicle. No shuttle, no parkade elevator scavenger hunt.

Domestic arrivals

For flights within Canada, your chauffeur meets you at the baggage carousel assigned to your flight. If you’re travelling carry-on only, mention it in the booking notes and they’ll be positioned at the exit from the gates instead.

South Terminal

Flying in from Victoria, Tofino, or a floatplane connection? South Terminal is a five-minute drive from the main terminal and refreshingly small: your chauffeur waits just outside the main entrance, and you’re on Grant McConachie Way before the props stop spinning.

Getting home again

Departure pickups run the same way in reverse: we plan the pickup time around your terminal, your airline’s check-in guidance, and real traffic on the day. You’ll get a confirmation the evening before, and your chauffeur is at your door with time to spare. Common questions about YVR pickups

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing you need to do. We track the flight, the pickup time moves with it, and your 45 minutes of free wait time starts from the actual arrival — not the scheduled one.

How do I find my chauffeur in the international terminal?

Walk through the exit doors after customs and look at the greeting-area railing directly ahead — your chauffeur is holding a name sign with your name on it. If you don’t spot them within a minute, call or text (604) 597-1766 and dispatch connects you on the spot.

Can I book a larger vehicle for a group arrival?

Yes — executive sedans, SUVs, 13-passenger Sprinters and even stretch limousines all do YVR pickups. Book whichever fits the group; the meeting point works the same way.

Do you service arrivals at any hour?

Yes. We meet red-eyes, first flights and everything between — dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
