Why Choose Time Limo for Whistler Private Transfers

Door-to-Door Luxury

We pick you up from the arrivals terminal or your hotel lobby and drop you directly at your Whistler chalet or hotel.

Safety First

The Sea-to-Sky Highway is beautiful but can be challenging in winter. Our vehicles run winter tires and our chauffeurs drive this road year-round. If Highway 99 closes, we divert to a hotel in Vancouver rather than leave you waiting on the highway.

Wait-Free Travel

We track your flight. If you are delayed, we wait. Once you land, there is no waiting for other passengers — we leave when you are ready.

Complimentary Amenities

Enjoy complimentary bottled water, Wi-Fi, and phone chargers on board so you can stay connected or simply relax.

03

Luggage assistance

We handle your luggage and ski gear from the carousel to the vehicle.

04

Depart immediately

No schedules to keep — we leave for Whistler the moment you’re ready.

How Do I Get from Whistler Back to Vancouver Airport?

Whistler to Vancouver airport, Whistler to YVR, a private shuttle from Whistler to Vancouver airport or transportation from Whistler to Vancouver airport — the same transfer in reverse. For an international departure, leave about five and a half hours before your flight: up to three hours on a snow day plus the three-hour check-in window. The last day of a ski week is our busiest slot.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long does the transfer take from Vancouver to Whistler?
Typically 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. With major traffic or snow, allow up to 3 hours — your chauffeur plans the departure around it rather than making up time on the road.
Which vehicle do I need for skis and snowboards?
An Executive SUV or larger. The Executive Sedan carries regular luggage but does not take snow gear. An Executive SUV handles four passengers plus skis comfortably, and for a full group with gear the Sprinter Van is the right call — we can also add a luggage trailer.
Do you provide child car seats?
Yes — rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats on request. Please mention it when booking.
How much is a private transfer from Vancouver to Whistler?
All-in one-way rates from Vancouver: Executive Sedan $520 CAD (about $370 USD), Executive SUV $617.50, and an 11-passenger Sprinter Van $754 — a suggested 15% gratuity, fuel and GST included. Pickups at YVR add the airport’s parking fee; your instant quote shows the exact all-in price for your address and vehicle.
Is it worth having a car in Whistler?
In most cases, no. Whistler Village is compact and highly walkable, with shuttles, taxis and lifts close together — most visitors never need a car.
Is it safe to drive from Vancouver to Whistler?
Yes — when done properly. With proper winter tires, well-maintained vehicles and drivers who understand mountain conditions, the Sea-to-Sky is safe year-round.
What happens if Highway 99 closes?
Highway 99 is the only road to Whistler, so when it closes there is no detour. We do not leave you on the highway waiting for it to reopen — we turn around and take you to a hotel in Vancouver, then get you up the mountain once the road opens.
Can I take an Uber from Vancouver to Whistler?
Rarely, and never reliably. Uber operates in Metro Vancouver, but drivers are not obliged to accept a two-hour trip out of their zone, and Whistler has almost no rideshare supply for the return journey. A booked transfer cannot cancel on you.
How much is a taxi from Vancouver to Whistler?
Roughly $250 to $325 one way, metered — so a storm or heavy traffic makes it cost more, not less. A private transfer is a flat rate agreed before you travel.
Show 5 more questionsShow fewer questions
Is there a free shuttle from Vancouver Airport to Whistler?
No. No free shuttle runs between YVR and Whistler. The cheapest scheduled option is the coach at roughly $32 one way. Some Whistler hotels run a free shuttle within the resort once you have arrived, which is usually what people are thinking of.
What is the cheapest way to get from Vancouver to Whistler?
The scheduled bus, from about $32 one way from YVR, and it is genuinely the right choice for a solo traveller on a flexible schedule. It stops being cheapest at around three or four people with gear: a family of four in an Executive SUV is about $160 each and a full 11-passenger Sprinter about $71 each, door to chalet door with everyone’s gear on board.
How far ahead should I book?
For winter weekends and holiday periods, two to three weeks. Ski season fills the Sprinter Vans first because they are the ones that take a full group plus gear. Midweek and summer, a few days is usually enough.
What is your cancellation policy?
Flexible — cancellations more than 24 hours before pickup are fully refundable. Heading south instead? Our Vancouver to Seattle car service crosses the border door to door. For special occasions, a Vancouver to Whistler limo is also available.
Is there a train from Vancouver to Whistler?
No — no scheduled passenger train serves Whistler. The practical options are a private car, a shared shuttle or the scheduled bus; the drive is about two hours up the Sea-to-Sky Highway.
